Yummy

I made lasagna tonight for the first time in over three years. It was so good. I miss being home to cook dinner. With my shift ending at 11:30PM, it's an effort to even convince myself to throw a frozen pizza in the oven. If my seniority wasn't so low in my department, I would try for a day shift next schedule bid. I think I'm going to be stuck with a late shift for a long time.

Made my decision

I went ahead and bought the Sanyo. I realized I don't really need to see myself or my family in HD. If I really needed to, my other camera does take HD video. We'll see how I like it, should be here tomorrow :-)

Video Camera

Gonna be taking a trip soon, and I want to get a video camera. I'm shopping around on amazon, and I'm torn between a few different models. The one I'm leaning towards right now is the Sanyo Xacti VPC-E2 Digital Camcorder and 8 MP Digital Camera. It's waterproof and it takes SD cards. I was originally leaning toward the Flip UltraHD Camcorder because of the high reviews, but it stores to internal memory only. I was also wanting something that came with some sort of software because I don't have anything to edit with. On second glance, the Sanyo is not HD, so that's going to limit its usefulness. Hrmm. Need to decide soon, flight departs next Tuesday.

Neighbor Wars

There's a new property manager in my apartment complex and she's moved into the apartment below us. This morning she left us a letter letting us know that between the hours of 12 and 3 am, it sounds like we're stomping and performing aerobics in the apartment. Problem being that we are not doing anything abnormal in the apartment. We get home from work between 11:30pm and 12am, have dinner, may sit in front of the fireplace a while, but lay in the bedroom and watch tv for the majority of the night. We only get up to get something to drink, go to the bathroom, that sort of thing. I wish I was doing aerobics, because then I could fix it. "My bad, didn't realize you could hear, I'll stop exercising at 2am." I can't stop living in my apartment, and shouldn't have to be confined to the bed when I get home from work. This is the second time we're having to go through this, we had a battle with the previous downstairs neighbor about noise. It'd be one thing if people were complaining about music, a tv, or something similar. But the noise that we're getting complaints about is just us walking in the apartment. They can't realistically put a restriction on when we can and cannot walk in the apartment. I am so frustrated.

Today was rough. Here's hoping the remaining two days in my week go quickly.
